Competitors will perform a series of kicks on a PowerKube Go. The kicks will be scored to give an overall total. Highest score wins.
Kicks registered
- 2 to 5 front kicks
- 2 to 5 side kicks (any side kick: front leg, back leg, reverse or spinning)
- 2 to 5 turning kicks (ball or instep)
Legal Kick:
A kick is determined legal by a judge when
- The kick lands in the designated area on the PowerKube. Designated by white bullseye shape.
- Kicks that do not land in designated area are given a score of 0.
- Front Kick: The ball foot must be fully inside the target area
- Side Kick: The heel must be fully inside the target area
- Turning Kick: The ball foot or instep & toes must be inside the target area, Using just the shin is not valid)
- Kicks that do not land in designated area are given a score of 0.
- The kick must be solid, glancing kicks will be given a score of 0.
- May not take any steps before the kick, one foot must stay stationary on the floor, you may pivot.
- No jumping or running. Other foot must be on the floor.
- The kick is the correct kick to be performed
- A valid score is registered by the PowerKube(can sometimes get no score). If no score from PowerKube issue competitor gets to do the kick again.
Scoring Kicks
The values of each kick will be recorded.
- Highest Value will be discard. (To eliminate anomalies)
- The second highest value is scored for each type of kick
- Points will be awarded for hardest kick of each type
- 1st place: 8 points
- 2nd place: 6 points
- 3rd place: 4 points
- 4th place: 2 points
- 5th+ place: 1 point
- Points for each division added together to get final score
Tie
If the end score is the same then the highest score from any kick will be the tie breaker, if ties move to next kick.
